Introducing Eirus™ – the first continuous glucose monitoring system for ICU


CMA Microdialysis is introducing Eirus™ - a novel system for continuous and real-time* measurement of blood glucose in
the ICU.

 
We believe our system will be the first commercially available system that will enable continuous blood glucose measurement, designed for ICU usage. With the Eirus™ system CMA will be able to address the long expressed need for continuous monitoring of glucose in critically ill patients.


Through providing continuous and accurate measurements, the system will enable better control of the patient’s glucose level, thus making it easier to keep the glucose level within the targeted range and minimising the risk of hypo- and hyperglycaemia. Continuous measurement of blood lactate is also available through the system.


The Eirus™ system is CE marked and we are currently in a phase of clinical studies, where the Eirus™ system is being verified at selected centers in Europe.
