Microdialysis in Clinical Research

Exploring tissue and blood chemistry

Microdialysis is a monitoring technique that enables detection of small biochemical markers, such as glucose, lactate and puruvate, but also larger molecules. CMA’s high-cut off catheters allow for further detection of larger molecules such as cytokines and other inflammatory markers.

This possibility makes it possible to identify unique markers that can be used for early diagnosis of secondary complications and disease processes and collect free fractions of a drug in pharmacokinetic and pharmacodynamic studies. It is minimally invasive and simple to perform in a clinical setting.

During more than 10 years CMA has developed products that are approved for use in various clinical applications and more than 2.000 scientific articles have been published in several different clinical fields.
